Goodbye January, hello February.
January is a month of new beginnings, resolutions and hope, which can be extremely overwhelming. Working hard to ensure you start the new year right can lead to a feeling of guilt for minor things such as the day you ate that chocolate bar or the day you skipped the gym. Let's face it, keeping up with those new year's resolutions can be easier said than done.
Not to worry, January is now over and with February now on the cards, there is plenty to look forward to this month. Take it as a fresh start, forget January happened and start new this February with new resolutions and a fresh mindset for the month. You can officially ditch the diet and get back to eating what you want, when you want without feeling guilty. What is there to look forward to this February you ask? Well, apart from dry January finally being over and done with, February has lots to offer.
February is the month of love, whether that be a valentine or a 'galentine' take this as an excuse and cause for celebration. February also brings celebrations such as civil right achievements, random act of kindness day, world Nutella day and of course, pancake day! Although Easter is technically not until April, shop shelves become chocolate galore and Cadbury Creme Eggs (love them or hate them) have officially made a comeback.
Other things worth mentioning that happen in January are, sales! That winter coat that you wanted but couldn't afford after Christmas will officially come down in price, and just in time for the cold weather. Also, Spring is on the way, meaning new fashion trends and stylish outfits fit for the new season. February is a short month, meaning something worth mentioning is that you wont be as skint in the last week of the month as you usually are, which is always an added bonus.
February is an exciting month in the fashion world, awards season is finally here! Time to become a fashion critic and judge all of the celebrities (and not- so celebrities) walking the red carpet. The super bowl, BAFTA's and Oscars give plenty of fashion looks that can be critiqued and amazed over, if that's not exciting then I have no idea what is!
Stop feeling guilty of what you didn't do this January and start celebrating what you did do. Look at your achievements and what you are proud of yourself for this January and mirror that into February. Hopefully now your mindset and thoughts towards February have changed for the better. Let's make it a good one.
