Super Bowl is the perfect opportunity for celebrities to dress up and make a fashion statement good enough to cause the fashion fanatic to erupt. Football fans tune in to watch the game itself, meanwhile others (like me) like to tune in for the half time show, where you get to see celebrities perform hit songs in show stopping outfits. In this years show we had looks from celebrities such as The Weeknd, Miley Cyrus and H.E.R.
H.E.R. was one of the musicians who took to centre stage for the half time show singing her version of “America the Beautiful.” She wore a statement piece denim deconstructed jacket with chain detailing- enough to have any street wear fanatic drooling. Underneath she wore a sheer black top with a graffiti sleeve to add to the look. The jeans she wore were another major statement piece as the front were detailed with diamanté crystals whilst the back was black leather. H.E.R. styled the look with a pair of massive hoop earrings and a low, but full of volume pony. Of course all topped off with a statement red lip to tie everything together. This look overall I absolutely LOVE, she didn't go too OTT with her outfit or take too many risks, but she definitely stayed in her comfort zone and managed to pull it off 100%
Next we have The Weeknd who definitely channelled his inner Michael Jackson with this look. He wore a Red Givenchy jacket which was covered in crystals, this jacket was rumoured to have taken 250 hours to make for The Weeknd to wear. Underneath the statement jacket he kept it plain and simple with black skinny jeans and a black shirt, paired with some white and black dress shoes. To accessorise he opted for black leather gloves and a black tie, keeping it nice and classy. I think this look fits The Weeknd's style and aesthetic perfectly and I think nobody could have pulled it off like he did.
Time for my favourite look of Super Bowl 2021, worn by none other than Miley Cyrus herself. Miley had two separate outfits, both custom designed and hand made by Gucci. The first was a black and pink football jersey with huge shoulder padding, paired with matching white trousers and the second a pink and black leather cheerleader skirt and top co-ord. Miley kept her accessories minimal with these looks and let the outfits do all the talking, which people were definitely doing when it comes to these outfits. Both outfits fit and suit Miley to a T, as she is often seen and known for wearing risque, unique and out there outfits.
Lastly we have poet Amanda Gorman who wowed everyone with her powerful poem "The Hill We Climb." Amanda wore a Moschino powdered baby blue statement button up coat with an encrusted pearl and diamond collar. To match the jacket, she wore a beautiful pearl headband which gave off a halo effect on the top of her head and to accessorise Amanda kept it simple with some small hoped earrings. This look is absolutely perfect for Amanda to wear as it embodies class and sophistication.
So what do you think of this years looks? Without the fans this year the Super bowl had to be a little different to the other years, but I think the celebrities done amazing with their looks and really served us stylish and top class looks. Let me know your favourites!
